2D | Point to line

2D | point > line

Introduction

Piet Mondrian had a style of painting that employed a severely simple visual grammar of lines, planes and primary color. From this rather depersonalized vocabulary he created a very personally identifiable style, although his intentions may have been otherwise.

Vector drawing uses a similar kind of depersonalized, algorithmic geometry to create form out of points and lines. In this project you will use vector drawing, as well as principles of visual design, to create a personal logo that can scale to be cut in three sizes. The material we will cut is adhesive transfer vinyl common to environmental signage and decal work for automobiles.
